How to test Milk's purity at home?

If your milk is not packaged, there's a chance that harmful substances are present.

You can place a drop of milk on a glass slide. If it flows slowly, it's likely pure.

You can also mix equal amount of milk and water in a bottle and shake it well. If it forms a thick lather, the milk is impure.

Take a solution of milk, add a few drops of iodine tincture on it, if the liquid turns blue, it means the milk is impure.

Take some milk, add arhar dal powder and shake it. After some minutes, take a litmus test, if the red litmus turns blue, it means the milk contains urea.

Pour 10ml of milk into a test tube and add 2-3 drops of concentrated sulphuric acid, if the milk turns blue, formalin is present.
